AI For Leaders by Muhammad Tahir

AI For Leaders by Muhammad Tahir

It was 9:00 AM sharp at Movenpick Karachi. The coffee was hot, the room was filled with C-level executives, and something in the air just felt different. This wasn’t just another training session. This was a full-scale experience.

And I, Muhammad Tahir Ashraf — founder of PureDesigners, BeyondTahir, and IBM-certified AI Coach — had the honor of leading it.

What unfolded next was one of the most engaging, interactive, and practical AI workshops held in Pakistan to date, organized in collaboration with ICMA Pakistan, the country’s premier financial and management institution.

The Audience: Not Your Average Crowd

From UBL, NBP, State Life, HBFC to PARCO and Bytecorp — the attendees weren’t students; they were decision-makers. Senior managers, heads of departments, and digital transformation leads. These were the people responsible for shaping their organizations’ futures.

And the mission was clear: turn them from curious observers to confident AI implementers.

Participants OF AI FOR LEADERS

Module 1: Breaking the Ice, Then Breaking Mental Barriers

We didn’t begin with definitions. We began with questions.

“What’s one task you wish you could automate today?”

Sticky notes went up. Laughter followed. And suddenly, 40 executives weren’t strangers anymore. They were co-creators. That’s when we dropped the quote:

“AI won’t take your job. A person using AI will.”

Module 2: What Even Is an AI Agent?

To make it click, I took a deep breath and said:

“Imagine hiring an assistant who doesn’t sleep, doesn’t complain, and learns every time you talk to it. That’s what an AI Agent is.”

We discussed:

  • Workflows vs. Agents
  • Triggers vs. Decision Nodes
  • Internal vs. External automations

By the time this segment was over, even the most traditional bankers in the room were leaning forward.

Module 3: Let’s Build a Real Agent — Right Now

This was the game-changer. We built a real AI Agent in N8N.

  • Connected it with OpenAI.
  • Assigned memory.
  • Plugged in Airtable.

We created a simple inventory assistant for managing home groceries. But the lesson wasn’t just about groceries — it was about possibility.

Everyone participated. Everyone clicked Run. Everyone saw the result. Live.

“This is no longer theory. This is your team’s future.” — I told them.

Module 4: Supercharged with Make.com

From N8N we jumped to Make.com.

We started by importing pre-built templates, automating:

  • Follow-up emails
  • CRM entries
  • Daily reminders

Then came the real thrill: Building a social media agent via ChatGPT. We used GPT to write Make.com JSON, imported it, and watched a full-stack workflow come alive in 5 minutes.

The reaction? Gasps. Applause. And one manager said,

“I’ve been in tech 10 years. I’ve never seen this happen this fast.”

Module 5: No-Code Mastery with Lovable

To round it out, we used Lovable to:

  • Design a frontend UI for a lead form
  • Auto-categorize leads (Sales vs Service)
  • Generate smart replies using OpenAI

We made an AI agent monitor incoming leads and prioritize replies. This was no longer about demos — this was deployment. Full stack. In real time.

Module 6: IBM Watson — Real Enterprise Power

In the final segment, we switched gears to corporate-grade AI.

I gave a live demo of:

  • IBM Watson Orchestrate — for HR and Finance workflows
  • WatsonX Assistant — for building custom GPTs
  • IBM Cloud Pak — enterprise-level AI infrastructure

They didn’t just hear the brand. They saw how PureDesigners uses IBM tech to solve real problems for Pakistani clients today.

Engagement Moments: Not Just Sit and Listen

Throughout the day, I made sure we kept the momentum:

  • Group roadmap exercises
  • Live mentoring sessions (3 hot seats)
  • Interactive AI playbook giveaways
  • QR code gift drop: Connect, comment, and win

And of course, some Will Smith style hype:

“You don’t need to be perfect. You need to start. Because done beats perfect every single time.”

The Closing

Certificates were handed. Photos were taken. And as people walked out, they weren’t just thanking me for the training. They were thanking me for the spark.

“Tahir bhai, I came here to learn automation. I’m leaving with a new way to lead my team.”

Final Word

To ICMA Pakistan: Thank you for trusting me. To the 40+ leaders who showed up: Your curiosity, your questions, your energy — they made this workshop unforgettable.

Let this be just the beginning.

You don’t just have ideas. Now you have agents.
